Tbilisi Sports Palace is hosting the new tournament - IHF / EHF Women s World Cup in handball. The tournament will be held on March 8-13, and it takes a team of 8: Georgia, Belgium, Latvia, Faroe Islands, Cyprus, Estonia, Albania and Armenia. It is founded in 2016, Europe s top teams, which will play in the 2017 Intercontinental Cup.
Participants are girls born in 1997 or later. Girls born in 1998-2002 years playing for the national team. They are all public school students. According to the memorandum signed by the Handball Federation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a psychological service is provided by the Mandate Service of the Ministry of Education and Science.
Official tournament opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze.
The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Tamar Sanikidze honored teacher and their family for the 8th of March celebration. The Minister visited the former teacher of 5th primary school – Ms. Jujuna Samkharadze’s house, and awarded with the Order of Honor for her successful pedagogical work over the years. Colleagues described her as an innovator, as she worked at the 55th public school for 60 years.
It should be noted, that Ms. Samkharadze’s teaching methods include gentle behavior, an ethical work habit, feeling of love and respect for the country and its traditions in conjunction with the ability to constantly motivate the students.
Ms. Jujuna Samkharadze’s long pedagogic activity had received numerous awards. The young generation of educators and academic staff thanked her for her immense contribution and wished her health and long life.
