First Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Ketevan Natriashvili held a working meeting with the representatives of the directorate of the European Commission for the neighborhood policy and enlargement negotiations.
The aim of the EU’s European neighborhood policy for the years of 2017-2020 is to conduct a priorities meeting with the Ministry of Education and Science, in conjunction with having a consulting meeting in regards to the development of education and vocational practices in the country.
To accomplish the drafting process of the EU delegation, the document noted that among other things, the focus will be on the youth employment and its stabilization, which is important for the EU neighboring countries.
Ketevan Natriashvili address the European colleagues with the detailed information regarding the education and science reform in Georgia as well as the EU cooperation programs with the participation of Georgia. The meeting focused on the EU to support the above-mentioned processes.
The two sides discussed the enhancement of co-operation, within Georgia’s research and innovation, thus creating the prospects of development in the labor market.
