Public-Private partnership in vocational education

With the support of Millenium Challenge Account (MCA) Georgia, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia presented its newest vocational education reform “Public-Private partnership in vocational education”. 

 

Within the context of Georgia’s transition into a new stage of development, contemporary opportunities in the vocational education, the alternative partnership models between the State and the private sector, and new opportunities to the development of entrepreneurship was introduced to the public by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze.

 

 

According to the latter mentioned initiative, vocational education will undergo a major reform, which entails the introduction of the international work standard (WORK-BASED LEARNING), the involvment of the employer in the educational process, strengthening the component of manufacturing practice, detection of labor-market oriented professions and a substantial increase vocational education graduates employment rate. 
The conference was attended by public and private sector, people involved in vocational education, donor organizations, as well as the international and local experts.
