During the visit of Adjara region, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze, together with the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports of Adjara A/R – Mr. George Tavamaishvili inspected a newly constructed public school in Salibauri - Khelvachauri municipality and met with the school teachers. 

The first public school in the village of Salibauri is distinguished by the academic success of both students and teachers – in fact, most of the teachers are certified, and are involved in the teacher professional development program, whilst the students actively participate and win prizes at school Olympiads and various competitions. Precisely, these two factors were the foundation for the new school construction. Moreover, the renovation and refurbishment of schools in the mountainous regions of Adjara, is the main priority for the Adjarian government.

The school is in compliance with the modern standards and operates a well-equipped library, class-rooms with modern appliances, a gym, and a doctor’s office. After visiting the school, Salibauri school teachers had the opportunity to talk about the important issues with the Minister. Moreover, the teachers received detailed answers to each of their questions and expressed their overall opinion regarding the news.
