A first phase of large-scale renovation process was completed at Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University. The five-storey main university building was completely renovated. Also, the laboratories for physics, information technology, zoology, forensics and mineralogy faculties were completely refurbished and equipped with the latest technological appliances. Additionally, a professional studio was created for the journalist students. The university was equipped with libraries, computers with internet connection, LED televisions, and so forth. Also renewed a playground. At this stage, there is an exhange program being implemented, which implies creating special guest rooms for various dental and psychological professors visiting the university. Furthemore, the sports playground was completely restored.   

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze and Minister of Education, Culture and Sports – Mr. George Tavamaishvili got fully acquinted with the rehabillition process. Also, there was a meeting regarding the ongoing and planned projects with the University management.
