The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Ms. Tamar Sanikidze together with the head of Educational Mandatory Guard Service Office – Mr. Vakhtang Meifariani, awarded psychologists and mandatory guards of Rustavi public school with the special appreciation certificates for their excellent job provided in conjunction with attenting the opening ceremony of a brand new psychological center in Rustavi.
It is important to note that, Rustavi is the seventh city where the brand new psychological center is opened. Psychologists at the center will provide free psycho-social services to the children and their parents, both individually and in groups. Similar centers have been actively working in Tbilisi, Gori, Kutaisi, Telavi, Poti and Batumi.
Psychological Service Center offers their qualified services to adolescents from 6 to 18 years with emotional and behavioral problems and their families completely free of charge.
Psychological Center represents a multidisciplinary team, which employs a highly trained psychologists, social workers and child psychiatrists.
Psycho-social services include several directions: a mental psychologist/psychiatrist, the identification of emotional and behavioral problems, psycho-correction, and psychotherapy.
The transfer of a troubled student is organized by the school administration with the parental consent on the basis of a filled referal, however people may also apply willfully if they wish.
