Due to the collaboration of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and Innovation Development Agency, a process of equpping laboratories at the vocational institutions with the latest appliances – FabLab has started. Consequently, the machinery will create a space for a creative learning, thus allowing students to get engaged in the enterpreneurial activities and the realization of their innovative ideas. Additionally, these laboratories are in line with the international standards and meet all the requirements of today’s labor market, thus ensuring a stable educational and training platform.
In order to get acquinted with the specifics of using the appliances/technology used in FabLab, there was an info tour held at the Tech Park for the students and teachers of various vocational institutions. The info tour was also attended by the First Deputy Minister – Ms. Ketevan Natriashvili.
Within the scope of the informational tour, the students had the opportunity to inspect the innovatioan laboratory – FabLab, located on the presimes of Technology Park, which is equipped with the latest equipment (laset cutting appliances, 3D printers, and etc.). Students also familirized themselves with the capabilities which the laboratory provides and inspected the existed prototypes, which are sold by the variety of businesses and are entirely created at this very laboratory. The participants of the info tour, also examined some of the lasest technological appliances; such as virtual reality goggles, a smart watch, powerful computers, and etc. In addition, participant students also received a presentation about the programs at the Innovation and Technology Agency and the opportunities that the Technology Park provides. Additionally, they received some detailed information on projects, which offer the development in the vocational education, and helps them to put their knowledge in practice, thus creating real products that generate income.
