Aleksandre Jejelava presented a strategic vision of developing an educational and scientific system to the Prime Minister of the country and the members of the parliament, today at the professional college “AISI” in Katchreti, Kakheti. After the meeting, Jejelava answered the questions of the audience.
Before the presentation, Prime Minister had a look at the college infrastructure, auditoriums, laboratories and the lab.
Two main directions which the professional college “AISI” focuses on are: Agriculture and Tourism. Farmer, Wine-maker/vine-grower, bee-master, fruit and vegetable technologist, grocery producer, veterinary, tractor operator, hotel manager, tour guide, tour operator, cook and others…are the professions essential for the economic development of Kakheti region. At this point, up to 500 students study at the college. Among them also are the students with disabilities.
In scales of the professional education reform, in recent years various infrastructural changes have happened at Kachreti Professional College without ruining a traditional atmosphere. Building was re-designed and adapted to the students with special needs, also the labs and studios were equipped and the curriculum was renewed. College also successfully keeps up a pace with the modular teaching. Besides, 300-place student dormitory as well as 70 place hotel operates on the territory of the college.
