The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia gives the opportunity for the National School Olympiad participants to take part in “English” and “Exact Natural Sciences” summer schools, which is fully funded by the state and is conducted at Buckswood International school.

The above-mentioned summer school was visited by the Minister of Education and Science, who got acquainted with the progress in scientific experiments and overall system which was held during the summer school, as well as the other works, crafted and created by the students. In addition, after the inspection the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava met with the summer school participants (total of 275 students), and had a dialogue with them. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and express their opinions regarding various issues.

The English language summer school, currently has students from 9th, 10th and 11th grade, who won 13 Academic Olympiads and had solid success in various competitions. During a 3-3-week school, with a 600 students participating in a three batches, an additional 36 students are selected (12 from each group) who get to travel to the UK, in a two-week English Language Summer school.

As for the Science summer school, the participants are selected from the 2015-2016 National School Olympiad, in exact and natural sciences, and the students who demonstrated best results in information technology. Overall, there are 75 students, selected from the 10th and 11th grade. The Summer school lasts 18 days.

Towards the end of the Summer School, out of 75 participants (according to Mathematics, Physics and Information Technology), 12 best students will be selected, who will get the opportunity to travel to Switzerland, CERN (European Nuclear Research Center) for a five-day excursion.

Furthermore, out of 75 students for the Exact and Natural Sciences summer school, in accordance to the subjects – biology, chemistry, physics and mathematics, the best 18 students will be selected to travel to Poland, where they will visit Copernicus Science Centre for a three-day excursion.
