Science plays an important role in the country s economic development. Therefore, the development of science and its enhancement to the modern level, and the support for the researchers’/scientists progression is one of the main priorities for the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
In order to create a short and long-term strategies for the science development, the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava is holding meetings with the representatives of the science field in a permanent manner. Furthermore, yet another working meeting was held, where the need of the scientific-research institutions were outlined, in conjunction with creating the plans to tackle the existing problems in the current scientific field of Georgia, as well as designing perspectives and action plans to develop science in Georgia in numerous ways.
