Within the context of a signed memorandum, the UK University of Nottingham and Nottingham College, will receive Georgian students, who won the English language competition, for summer school programs. The Georgian students will enhance and develop their English language skills and will be involved in various intellectual or sport activities.
The students involved in the program increases every year, and this year, a total of 16 students participated in UK program. The deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Lia Gigauri visited the Nottingham summer school and the Georgian students, and got acquainted with the educational process and the resource material. Besides this, Lia Gigauri had a meeting with the representatives of the college and held negotiations regarding the future cooperation. Having stated this, it is important to mention that new cooperation strategies have been planned.
Furthermore, the meetings held in the United Kingdom have been assessed, and both sides recognized the need to develop and update the programs, in order to ensure they meet the modern global challenges and are in full compliance with the high standards.
