Owing to the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a festival of Science and Innovation was held on September 17-25. The Festival included more than 150 various events such as conferences, public lectures, presentations, workshops, training sessions, open days, scientific shows and so forth. There were more than 50 higher education establishments and research institutions involved in the event.
The final day of the festival was fully devoted to students. Several scientific conferences, organized by various higher education establishments and research centers, were all merged into a single space, which aimed at:
The event was attended by several institutions and the Research Centers such as: Caucasus University, East European University, Grigol Robakidze University, Georgian University, International Black Sea University, George Eliava Institute of Bacteriophage, Microbiology and Virology, Iv. Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine.
Student conferences focused on various fields: biomedicine and the natural sciences, modern information technologies, education sciences, law and many more.
Towards the end, the students were addressed by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, and the winners of the photo contest were awarded with special prizes.
The Science and Innovation Festival was closed ceremonially in Vake Park, accompanied by fireworks and a Tika Balanchine band concert.
