The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Giorgi Chakhnashvili got familiarized with the rehabilitative works of Batumi State Maritime Academy. 49.310 GEL was allocated for renovating one of the buildings of the academy in 2009 in the framework of the President’s national program The Rehabilitation of Higher Educational Institutions.
Batumi State Maritime Academy is one of the oldest maritime institutions. 1621 students study at Bachelor, MA and other profession programs.
In the scope of the President’s national program The Rehabilitation of Higher Educational Institutions, the Ministry of Education and Science allocated 670.000 GEL and founded the educational-training center in 2009 that is in compliance with modern standards. The academy bought the stock of 5530 GEL and computer techniques of 119610 GEL. 87584 GEL was spent to broaden the library. The academy won the grant in the competition, announced by Georgian National Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education and Science, received 18840 GEL and bought the latest scientific and maritime convention literature as well as new textbooks for the library.
By the announcement of Giorgi Chakhnashvili, bringing the infrastructure and the material-technical equipment of the higher educational institutions in compliance with European standards is very important. All above mentioned, together with the renovated educational programs will support to recieve the high quality education.
