By the support of the Ministry of Education and Science, 64 graduates of Kutaisi №1 vocational education and training center will be employed at LTD Joint Water Supply Company of Georgia, at the end of March. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Giorgi Chakhnashvili, the Mayor of Kutaisi, Giorgi Tevdoradze and the Director of Joint Water Supply Company of Georgia visited this center. They awarded the graduates with certificates and congratulated with the beginning of the work.
By the announcement of Giorgi Chakhnashvili, developing the vocational education and training centers is one of the priorities of the ministry. This will increase the number of employed students.
Kutaisi №1 vocational education and trainings center was established in 2007. It implements the programs in service, industry, tourism and agriculture (totally, 16 professions). These programs have been approved by the Ministry of Education and Science and are implemented successfully.
The representatives of the business sector as well as the international organizations cooperate with the center. According to their order, the center also implements the short-term programs.
90 students were trained in electronic repair, electronic craftsman and chlorine-operator programs from March, 2009 up to present. From January 2010 up to present, the center trained 26 youngsters in electronic repair.
