Georgian Educational Technology Conference

Owing to the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in partnership with the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, an Educational Technology Conference was held on November 19-20. The conference is held annually and aims at delivering the information regarding the contemporary technological trends and tendencies to the interested parties, as well as informing the individuals about the best use of technology in the educational process, in conjunction with sharing the experience with the teachers, experts and the representatives of various educational institutions. 

There are reports regarding five various themes during the conference:

  • Teaching and learning in digital age: This theme entails the integration of technologies in the teaching-learning environment. Additionally, it conveys the innovative approaches and current tendencies in the educational system, as well as learning how to apply them.
  • Professional development: Entails the development of various skills in teachers, school administration or any other individuals employed in the field of education, in order to achieve an adequate digital age in the learning environment;
  • Management and Leadership: Entails the formation of vision regarding the role of technology in the educational programs and its development on various stages.
  • Research: The integration and application of technology through the use of new technologies
  • Technological infrastructure: entails the acquaintance on those technological resources, which are needed fully furnish the modern infrastructure.
