One of the top priorities for the Ministry of Education and Science is to enhance the entrepreneurial skills between the secondary school and vocational college students. Within the scope of the “The implementation if inclusive Education in the Georgian vocational educational system” program, creating of the supportive events are planned. In particular, the pilot school – “Entrepreneurship Club” is launched. Additionally, a working meeting was held regarding the aforementioned program, where the Ministry contractors “Young Georgian Economist Association” presented the ongoing and current processes in the “Entrepreneurship Club”.
The formation of the “Entrepreneurship Club” is the addition of the extracurricular activities, so the students can feel the formation of the business idea, the foundation of a company, the management and the liquidation process in real life. The real life professional and experienced consultants mentor the implementation of the extracurricular activities. The consultants provide their support in compliance with the National Curriculum every step of the stage. At least one student from every vocational institution is participating in the activity, who obtain experience, and competence in order to implement such activities in real life in the future.
The above-mentioned activity is being executed in three vocational educational institutions: College Mermisi; Gldani Vocational-Retraining Center, and “Modusi”, as well as in three public schools of Birkiani, Omalo and Pankisi Gorge.
After the completion of the pilot program “Entrepreneurship Club”, an elaboration of specific recommendations will take place, on how to integrate effective components in every step of the Entrepreneurial education.
