The Minister of Education and Science, together with the Minister of Internal Affairs, attended the safety lessons. Aleksandre Jejelava and Giorgi Mghebrishvili, visited Tbilisi public school N176, and attended the lessons of safety – a joint project between the two Ministries.
The project – “10 Safety Lessons” is initiated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with an active cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science, across the whole country, in 42 public schools. The Police Officials, as well as the representatives of “112” and other agencies, give the lessons to the students.
A specially crafted guidebook was presented specially for this event. The guidebook contains the adapted versions of the behavioral norms and traffic laws for the fifth graders.
During the academic year, the students will receive 10 safety lessons, by the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on how to act and behave during the times of Force Majeure, such as: an earthquake, flood, traffic accident or any other emergency situations. The students will learn all the necessary information.
The aim of the National Curriculum is to increase the awareness amongst the youth and teach them the meaning of safety.
