18-19 of January 2017, Tbilisi hosts a third
National Competition WorldSkills Georgia in the following fields:
- Webdesign
- Graphic Design
- Food & Kitchen
- Restaurant Business
- Pastry
- Hair Stylist
The
interested candidates willing to participate in WorldSkills Georgia national
competition have the opportunity to fill out the registration form from
December 20 to December 27 and register on the official WorldSkills Georgia’s
website
www.worldskills.ge Fill out the application form. Keep in mind that the participants’ age should
not exceed 22 years.
From December 28 including December 30, the field experts based on interviews
conducted with the interested candidates will select the participants of the
national competition WorldSkills Georgia.
Taking into consideration the infrastructure in each selected field,
competition will select a maximum of eight participants for each one, excluding
Web design, where the infrastructure allows the competition to select 18
participants simultaneously. The winners of first, second and third place will
be announced in each field, who will receive special certificates.

Georgia 2017 – the winners of first place will be recruited for the National
team of WorldSkills Georgia, which will participate in the 44th
WorldSkills International Competition, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in
October 2017.

Georgia is a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia
and the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement, and aims to
popularize vocational education in Georgia, in conjunction with increasing the
quality of education in Georgia. Project – WorldSkills Georgia started in 2012
and was conducted with the technical support from the GIZ.
Since 2012, WorldSkills Georgia on
behalf of the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement is the official

National Competition has been conducted twice in Georgia. Additionally, the
national team has participated in the international competition twice (2013
Leipzig in three fields: Food & Kitchen, Web design, Welding; and 2015 Sao
Paolo in six fields: Kitchen & Food, Welding, Web Design, Restaurant
Business, Floristics and Hair Stylist).
