The Minister briefly informed the Ambassador about the current situation in the field of education and science in Georgia and provided with the information about current and planned reforms. Aleksandre Jejelava spoke about the successful cooperation with the British Council and emphasized the support of the British party in promotion of English language, training of teachers and development of inclusive education.
The Ambassador expressed his satisfaction regarding the fact that the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia is goint to take part in the “World Education Forum” events scheduled in the UK, where in addition to introduction of modern trends and achievements in the field of education and science, Aleksandre Jejelava will have the opportunity to meet with fellow ministers, the heads of the leading scientific and technological companies. A meeting with the British Board of Directors is also planned within the framework of the visit.
Aleksandre Jejelava thanked Justin McKenzie Smith for invitation and expressed his hope that the bilateral cooperation between the parties will further be strengthened in the field of education and science.
