Through the efforts of the Georgian authority, scientists, researchers and innovators of our country have been involved in the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation – “Horizon 2020” and have already achieved great success. Except for the scientists and researchers, the program gives an opportunity to universities, research institutions, small and medium enterprises, business companies, government institutions, etc. to attract the grant fundings of hundreds of thousands Euro, to conduct researches in Georgia, to host beginner and experienced researchers from different parts of the world, to carry out the scientific and innovative ideas and to enhance the research centers in Georgia.
The International Conference was held for more support to the Georgian scientists, which was dedicated to the direction of the EU program “Horizon 2020” – “Marie Sklodowska-Curie Activities”. The goal of the project is to support retraining of the Georgian scientists and their career development in order to maximize their potential. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Jejelava, the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Science and Culture Mariam Jashi, the Deputy Head of the Education and Culture Department of the European Commission Bodo Richter and Chief Executive Officer of the European Commission Researches Gabriela Keira.
