Aleksandre Jejelava, Vice Prime Ministerof Georgia and the minister of Education and Science had a meeting with active parents, members of parents’ clubs to personally congratulate with the Mothers’ Day and wish them a lot of success in their lives. At the meeting, Aleksandre Jejelava emphasized the role and importance of parents involvement in the school life and called all parents for more engagement and activities. He also added the doors of the ministry are always open for them.
On their part, the parents shared with the minister the experience of cooperation with schools and talked about the challenges they are facing in this area. They also mentioned how they help their children and schools.
Under the initiative of Aleksandre Jejelava, for the first time, ministry of Education and Science started listening to the parents’ concerns and trying to find solutions together. Periodically, the work meetings are held with the parents to review positive as well as problematic developments, share opinions, obtain information about the current challenges and future plans in the area of general education.
Work meetings will be regularly held with parents where all parents will be given an opportunity to take part and play an active role in the education of their children.
