Ministry of Education and Science was the first state agency in Georgia to conclude industrial agreement with Free Trade Union.
Industrial agreement oriented on support of employees of educational institutions between the Free Trade Union of Teachers and Scientists of Georgia and the Ministry of Education and Science was signed today.
Main principles of the industrial agreement are: compliance with the legislation, protection of labour, social-economic and professional interests and rights of employees of educational and scientific institutions; equality of parties; voluntary assumption of obligation; control of fulfilment of undertaken obligations and responsibility; support in getting quality education.
The agreement reflects all the areas that will facilitate cooperation and social dialogue between the Ministry and the Union actively carried out in recent years.
Free Trade Union of Teachers and Scientists of Georgia is member organisation of “Education International (EI)” – international organization for people employed in global education system, “European Trade Unions Committee for Education (ETUCE)” and its President is “European Trade Unions Committee for Education (ETUCE)” elected member. Currently more than 40 000 employees of educational institutions are in Free Trade Union of Teachers and Scientists of Georgia which is one of the bases for conclusion of the industrial agreement.
