The Minister’s Easter Gift to the Children

The Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini visited Tbilisi public school №200 and presented the schoolchildren with Easter gifts. The Minister noted, inclusive education is one of the priorities of the ministry. The children with Special Education Needs should feel themselves as the valuable members of the public by integration in society. The ministry actively works on this issue.  

137 children of Special Educational Needs study at this school. 110 of them use the boarding-school service. On April 4, 30 schoolchildren of public school №200 hosted the minister.

The teachers of this school use the special curriculum for their schoolchildren. They teach them to orientate in the environment in order to get them involved in different activities. The teachers of this school support the children to integrate in the society and help other schools to master the teaching methodologies for the children with Special Educational Needs.

In the framework of the President’s national program “Iakob Gogebashvili”, Tbilisi Public school №200 was fully rehabilitated in 2008.
