VRLab Iliauni will help students and academic personnel both in academic and research process, namely:

• In creating simulations and modelling;
• In research and teaching visualization;
• In practice in leading software applications and data visualization techniques.  

The Lab will help researchers in art, science and engineering in research simulation, modelling and visualization to transfer data to large-scale and high resolution visualization screens.   

The Lab will also be used by Child Development Institute of Ilia State University in the course of working with children with special needs. 

The Lab equipment (virtual/augmented reality equipment, positional tracking cameras and sensors, head-mounted monitors) enables to be part of the modelled reality on the level of sensation, for instance: travelling in any country around the world; making virtual designs of buildings without keyboard and mouse, by hand movement; improving tourism marketing; creating and changing the prototypes of one’s ideas until one gets the desired outcome without any expenses.
