Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Education and Science continues meetings in the regions. This time, Aleksandre Jejelava held a workshop in Akhaltsikhe with approximately 300 teachers and attended the meeting of the Rectors Council.

Following meeting of the Rectors Council was held at Akhaltsikhe State University with participation of the heads of the state and private higher education institutions of Georgia. The meeting was traditionally led by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia –Aleksandre Jejelava.

The Rectors Council meets every month and reviews all the important issues in the field of development of higher education, opinions are summerized and joint decisions are made. By the initiative of Aleksandre Jejelava, each time the Rectors Council is held at a particular higher education institution, that enables the members of the Council to get acquainted with the learning environment of other universities, their teaching methods and to share their experience.
