Mathematical Competition "The Hope for The Tomorrow - 2017" Begins

With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Information Technology Center “Mziuri” together with Ilia State University and National Youth and Children’s Palace will hold a mathematical competition – “The Hope for Tomorrow -2017”.

Aim of the competition:  To find children with special mathematical talent at the early age.

Participants:  Pupils of III-VI classes of Tbilisi secondary schools.

Participation in the competition is free.

The winners will be awarded with certificates, first, second and third degree diplomas and valuable gifts.

Regulations of conducting:

  • Participants are divided into two age groups: “Senior Age” - V and VI classes, “Junior Age” - III and IV classes.
  • Competition takes place in two rounds. The winners of the first round will take part in the second round.
  • 5 tasks and 2 hours will be assigned per participant in both rounds.
  • The samples of mathematical internet competition “Mziuri” and the competition “The Hope for Tomorrow” will be used as the samples for evaluation of tasks and solutions. Web-sites of Internet contest and competition are: http://concurs.mziuri.ge and http://imedi.mziuri.ge.
  • The Internet contest is a certain kind of “correspondence school” for preparation for the competition, which has been held since 2006 and its web-site continuously provides the report of the last 8-12 rounds (results of the participants and tasks together with solutions).

Date: First round - June 4. The second round and award ceremony dates will be announced after the first round.

Registration deadline: Registration has already started and will end on June 3, 3:00 p.m.

Registration is required for participation in the competition. During registration, the participants will specify the venue and time of competition.

Registration is available both individually and in group - according to the form attached by the schools (softcopy or hardcopy).

Preferably, a contact person should be assigned in schools for coordination with the competition organizers.
