The scientific delegation of Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law of Germany, under guidance of Professor Hans-Jörg Albrecht, Director of the Institute visited the Georgian Technical University.
Several events were held regarding the visit of the German guests, including the joint international conference on topic: “Modern Technologies, Current Issues of Criminal Law and Criminology”, as well as a new Memorandum on International Scientific Cooperation was signed by and between the Georgian Technical University and the Max Planck Institute.
The Max Planck Institute is the world-renowned and recognized scientific center, carrying out the fundamental researches on current issues of criminology and criminal law of different countries. German and Georgian scientists have experienced decades of scientific cooperation and this is greatly contributed by the director of the Institute, Hans-Jörg Albrecht, who is the author of numerous researches and works in contemporary criminal law and criminology. His contribution to development and strengthening of Georgian and German legal and scientific cooperation, reforming of Georgian criminal law and criminology schools should be noted.
