Conclusive - summary training regarding the project of the psychological service center of the Office of the Resource Officers of the Educational Institution – “Child Abuse” was held in Akhaltsikhe. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigauri delivered the certificates to the participants. The main goal of the project was prevention of violence, identification of cases of child abuse, reaction and implementation of reference procedures. Target groups (beneficiaries) were composed of the resource officers throughout Georgia, as well as deputy directors / directors of such educational institutions (schools), where there the Office of Resource Officers is not presented.

Retraining of beneficiaries is carried out gradually. The training course includes theoretical materials on child abuse issues, the principles of working with the group, thematically related activities and activists. The main topics of the training are “Explanations and Forms of Child Abuse”; “Violence and Conflict”; “Violence Promotion and Protection Factors”; “Results of Violence”; “Identification of Physical, Behavioral and Emotional Signs of Abused Child and the Child under the Risk of Abuse”; “Violence in School”; “Child being the Victim of Sexual Abuse and Sexual Exploitation”; “Main Issues of Relationship with Abused Child”; “Multidisciplinary and Multi-Sectoral Cooperation”; “Child Protection Reference Procedures in Georgia”". At the end of each training, beneficiaries are tested. In case of successful testing, they will be awarded with the certificates. 1539 deputy directors / directors were retrained within the framework of the project.
