Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia went with a working visit to Democratic Republic of South Korea by invitation and financing of the Academy of Korean Studies, where a number of important meetings were held with the representatives of the education sphere for the Georgian side. The host was very interested in the educational system of Georgia and ongoing reforms. At the meetings, readiness was expressed to enhance cooperation in both general and vocational and higher education directions that means putting into operation the exchange programs, organizing joint conferences and sharing experience.

Members of the Georgian delegation had an opportunity to get acquainted with the Korean education system, challenges in the system and ways to solve them.

By the initiative of the Director of the Academy of Korean Studies, a Georgian week will be planned in Korea next year, which will enhance the awareness about culture, history and modern life of Georgia and, therefore, strengthen relations between two countries.
