According to the Minister’s announcement №1103, December 4, 2009, the procedures of calculating the final grades have been changed in the National Curriculum, being approved in September 28, 2006, according to the announcement №841.
The schoolchildren will be awarded with the silver and golden medals considering the annual grades in each subjects of the third level (10th, 11th, 12th grades).
The trimester grades are not considered in awarding the golden and silver medals.
The subject annual grades are rounded and calculated in one grade. For example: if the schoolchild receives 9.9 in mathematics in the first trimester, in the second trimester - 9.8 and the third trimester - 9.7, the average is 9.8, but the annual grade will be – 10.
The schoolchild, who will receive the rounded 10 in all subjects at the third level, will be awarded with the golden medals.
The schoolchild, who will receive the annual average from 9.8-10, will be awarded with the silver medal.
