The Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shahkini paid a visit to Telavi public school №9, where the director of the endocrinology center – Healthy Life, Ms. Elene Giorgadze carried out the thyroids echoscopy examination of the children free of charge. She gave the recommendations to the parents and invited the patients, who need the hormone examination in Tbilisi. The Minister welcomed this charity. He noted, it is important to provide the children with any kind of aid, especially in the health care issues.

The four groups of echoscopists of Elene Giorgadze clinic carried out the endocrinology examination of the schoolchildren additionally in Telavi public schools №2 and №3 at the same time.

The schoolchildren, who have the symptoms of iodine deficit, will receive the preparation of iodine for 10 days. They will continue to drink it for three months.
