The working group discussed monitoring evaluation instrument of the program “Second Chance for Education”. International and non-governmental organizations, the representatives of Persons with Disabilities and Child Rights Protection of Public Defender participated in the discussion. The comments and recommendations submitted by the stakeholders in the discussion process will be considered in the final version of the questionnaire.
It should be noted that the Ministry of Education and Science is starting to monitor the inclusive education in 120 public schools from September, 2017. In addition, monitoring of the program “Second Chance for Education” is also planned, within the frameworks of which the Ministry of Education and Science carries out transit educational program in the day care centers of homeless children (living and working in streets) subordinated to the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia. The program aims to integrate the homeless children in formal education / public schools. Field work of monitoring will be launched from September.
