SMART AtmoSim laboratory of International Standards for Atmospheric Studies was opened at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, which specializes in atmospheric researches and produces a chemical analysis of the atmosphere.

In the laboratory students will be directly involved in taking of air samples, in composition of analysis and mathematical simulations, detailed study of the atmosphere and its modeling will be made. The AtmoSim Laboratory the analogy of which in the region does not exist, is identical to the Julich Laboratory - IEK. It was based on the cooperation between the Institute of Energy and Climate Research- Troposphere (FZJ IEK-8) and TSU Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences.
