Within the framework of teacher week, the literary contest “The best story about the teacher” was held, the winners were given the monetary award and portable computers by the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigiauri, Director of Teacher Professional Development Center Giorgi Machabeli and representatives of “Liberty Bank”.
For the best contest story - “I'm not a teacher” the owner of the first place became Eka Kevanishvili; The second place was obtained by Zura Abashidze for story “Staff Units”; Third place was given to Luka Bakanidze, for the story “They shoot, teacher”.
The partners of the contest awarded prizes to other participants too. The publishing house “Intellect” presented the vouchers of the books to Ninia Tchkobelashvili and Ina Archuashvili, while the publishing house “Books in Batumi” presented by books vouchers, Diana Anpimiadi and Levan Loria. Monetary award was given to Tornike Chelidze from the Association of Professional Chemists.
The literary contest “The best story about the teacher” has already been established for the second year by the National Center for Teacher Professional Development and modern Georgian writers take part in it. The aim of the contest is to promote professions of teachers and raise public awareness about the importance of their activities.
