With the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, “Georgian National Sports Federation”, “Georgian Physical Education and Sport Development Union” and “Sports Club Morkinali 2011”, “Sports Week-2017” was held between teachers from October 1 to October 5 in order to celebrate the Teacher’s Day.

The aim of the event was to involve teachers of different subjects in physical activities, raise their motivation and popularize sports. More than 120 school  teachers of different subjects participated in the week.

Within the framework of the Sports Week, teams of Tbilisi Region competed in handball, table tennis, backgammon, handball and football. A team comprised of teachers from different schools of Gldani-Nadzaladevi won the overall team.

Partners of “Sports Week - 2017” are: Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Georgian Physical Education and Sport Teaching University, Georgian Handball National Federation, Georgian Backgammon Association.
