From October 14 to October 19, the 44th International Competition of Worldskills will be held in Abu Dhabi, where Georgia is participating for the third time and will represent its representatives in seven professions.

Before departure, Worldskills Georgia team members and their teachers passed long training phase and training module with the help of National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. As a result, their professionalism was evaluated by Worldskills organizers by higher scores, which was reflected in Worldskills’ base.

The director of the Center Tamar Sanikidze met with Worldskills Georgia team and their teachers, gave special certificates to the teachers for overcoming the success of Worldskills Access Programme, thus granting them the status of international experts. By this document, teachers were able to evaluate the participants of up to 80 countries participating in the contest, except that they were prepared by members of the participating team.

WorldSkills Georgia is a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement aiming at promoting vocational education in Georgia, improving quality, getting closer to international standards and internationalization. Since 2012, Georgia is a member of WorldSkills International and is paying annual membership fees on behalf of the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement. At this stage WorldSkills International unites 77 countries. Large-scale competitions of WorldSkills in professional skills are held every two years in a member country. Competition takes place within four days. Age of participants is limited to 22 years. WorldSkills is an excellent platform for professional skills development and development.
