On October 11-12, the 5th international conference on adult education is being held by DVV International which is participated by 120 adult education experts and political decision makers from 30 countries around the world, including Georgia.
There are adults who have education in certain fields, but are unable to be self-actualized, and wish to improve their qualification or acquire some new, highly demanding professions at the labor market. There are also people who were not able to receive higher education due to certain reasons having no vocational education but need jobs. A number of agencies work to support such people including Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia along with DVV International office.
Institute for International Cooperation of German Adult Education Association DVV International is a German organization, which has been operating in almost 40 countries around the world over 60 years. DVV International has been implementing projects in Georgia for 15 years in adult education which is committed to overcome poverty, improve the level of living standards of citizens.
