Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in cooperation with Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency is implementing the project “My First Computer” in order to increase the motivation in students. Today students of Tbilisi public schools were awarded portable computers under the project who successfully completed the basic stage. At the first stage, the successful students of Old Tbilisi and Gldani-Nadzaladevi districts (overall 204 excellent students) were handed the computers. Lia Gigauri, deputy minister of Education and Science of Georgia made a welcoming speech and wish a success to the students.
In 2017, the students who completed the basic stage of public schools were identified as beneficiaries of the project “My First Computer”, who got 10 scores at the basic stage without rounding off.
The number of excellent students is 2557 throughout Georgia. Among them are 468 excellent students in Tbilisi. It should be noted that number of awarded students is increasing year on year. The student rewarding process continues and all beneficiaries will receive computers in near term.
