The 44th International Competition of vocational skills held in Abu Dhabi (Worldskills) ended with the award of winners – one of seven Georgian participants, Zurab Shavishvili, student of Kobuleti vocational college “Akhali Talga”, was given the best representative awards of the restaurant service competition.

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ketevan Natriashvili believes that participation of Georgian team on such scale competition is an invaluable experience for Georgia and this experience will definitely be introduced in our country.

According to her, the competition was also very interesting for Georgian experts and observers who, together with Georgian participants, got acquainted with the latest technologies used by different countries in direction of different professions.

“Competition was so difficult, many participants could not resist stress and stayed out of the competition. Our country, despite a small representative team, has carried out all the tasks, we almost approached to the international standards that are introduced through this platform. This will certainly be a guarantee of success in future, “-says Ketevan Natriashvili.

In the 44th International Competition, where 1300 representatives from 78 countries participated, the Georgian team was represented in seven professions: Cookery, Confectionery, Restaurant Service, Hairdressing, Graphic Design, Information Networking and Webdesign.
