The second annual International Conference on Vocational Education- “Professions for the Future”, within the project of Millennium Challenge Account “Vocational Education for Economic Development” was opened. The main speaker at the International Conference, Jason Gregor, the director of Pearson International Education Company of Business and Development, presented the results of the international research which outlines the required professions and skills of future by 2030. The research was conducted with the Global Fund of Innovation NESTA and Oxford Martini School.

The first Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ketevan Natriashvili, the newly elected mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze, the CEO of Millennium Challenge Account - Magda Magradze, Managing Director of MCC's Compact Implementation Department, Katerina Ntepi opened the conference and addressed the audience with a word.

The conference is attended by more than 200 participants from Georgia and from different countries of the world. Among the issues to be discussed there are the priority topics such as the role of vocational education in the promotion of employment, professional education policy, increase of private sector, employers' participation for promoting vocational education and business development and others. Part of the panel discussion was dedicated to vocational education branding.

The project “Vocational Education for Development of Economics” is a $ 16 million project funded by Millennium Challenge Account, funded by the Millennium Challenge Corporation, within the second 140 million US dollars compact signed between the United States of America and the Government of Georgia.
