Schoolchildren of Shuapkho will get full secondary education from now on
09.11.2017

By order of Aleksandre Jejelava, minister of education and science the 10th, 11th ad 12th forms are added to Shuapkho public school. During years pupils got only 9-form education there. They had to move to schools in Magharoskari or Barisakho or leave in boarding schools in heavy conditions. Several families refused to send their children to boarding-schools and migrated to lowlands. The minister took this problem into consideration and made the relevant change. The change has already brought the first positive result-3 families returned to the village.

“3 children returned to Ukana Pshavi. It means that 3 families have returned. School will not be empty and the village will not be abandoned,”-Irma Tskipashvili, Shuapkho school director is sure that full secondary education will facilitate the village survival process.

Currently Shuapkho School is being rehabilitated.
