Enhancement of existing productive cooperation and implementation of joint educational and scientific projects was discussed at the meeting of Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Mikheil Chkhenkeli with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Georgia, Justin McKenzie Smith. Special emphasis was made on organization of joint scientific researches, development of education quality in Georgia and support for exchange programs.

The meeting also highlighted the successful activities of the British Council in Georgia and the support of the British side in promotion of English language, teachers’ retraining and development of inclusive education.

At the end of the meeting, the British Ambassador delivered a letter of invitation of the State Secretary of Education of Great Britain to the Minister to attend the World Education Forum scheduled in London in January.
