Georgian Football Federation has retrained 1000 teachers of Physical Education

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, together with the Georgian Football Federation, and an active support the Ministry of Culture and Sport, have jointly implemented an important program – Thousand Schools. Since it’s launch, during the initial phase, exactly 1000 public school Physical Education teachers have been trained and are now prepared to play a special role in the upbringing of the future generation.

The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Lia Gigauri, the Deputy Minister of Culture and Sport - Shalva Gogoladze, the Chairman of Education, Science and Culture Committee of the Parliament of Georgia – Mariam Jashi, and the president of the Georgian Football Federation – Levan Kobiashvili held a special meeting dedicated to this cause, at the Mikheil Meskhi Football Stadium.

Within the scope of the program, the Football Federation has designed and published a special textbook containing special rules for the Physical Education teachers, explaining in detail the preparatory measures for children of 6-11 years. All the Physical Education teachers are expected to carry out exercises according to the textbook.

Furthermore, the regulatory textbooks were handed to P.E. teachers alongside special uniforms. In the coming future, all schools will receive all the necessary inventory and equipment, in order to conduct full-fledged exercises. The Physical Education teachers will actively work with the primary grade students, as it is crucially important to promote a healthy lifestyle, in conjunction with creating a healthy future.
