Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and Deputy Minister, Nodar Surguladze met with around 20 representatives of Georgia Academy of Science and spoke about ongoing priorities of scientific sphere. Conditions in the scientific field, as well as funding scientific projects and other important issues of scientific-research institutions and Academy of Science were discussed at the meeting.

The Minister underlined the role of the Academy of Science in ongoing educational reforms. Dimitri Shashkini spoke about priorities of scientific foundations. Having foreseen their role, the Government finances the development of science. Around 60 mln GEL was spent in recent 4 years on these directions. Technopark, that will be established in August, 2010 was also discussed at the meeting.
