Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini and Head of Advisory Board, Levan Aleksidze introduced the staff of the Board that is formed with ten members to the public at the first meeting.
Advisory Board was formed with famous and merited people. Academicians, respected teachers, experts and the representatives of business sector will be actively involved in the ongoing educational process from now on.
Ongoing reforms, changes in National Curriculum, teachers’ certification and other important issued were discussed at the meeting. According to the members’ announcement, transparent activities of the Ministry and involvement of experienced people in the process will support successful development of the reforms.
Academician Levan Aleksidze, Academician Marika Lortkipanidze, Professor Tedo Ninidze, Professor Anzor Khelashvili, merited teachers Liana Shetsiruli, Lia Chankvetadze, Mzia Khitiri and Tinatin Dgishiashvili, as well as expert of International Relations, Master of Public Administration, Tornike Sharashenidze, Doctor of Medicine, Professor and pediatrician, Nugzar Uberi and Chief Executive Officer of Medical Insurance Group “Archimedes Global Gerogia”, Nikoloz Ramishvili will develop recommendations and introduce them to the Minister.
By the Minister’s announcement, it is important to involve society in the reforms and consider opinions and experiences of merited and professional people in decision making process. “I am glad, Advisory Board is formed with these people”- noted the Minister.
Advisory Board that was established under the Ministry of Education and Science will systematically hold meetings in order to develop recommendations and introduce them to the Minister.
