First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Ketevan Natriashvili, Executive Director of Millennium Challenge Fund - Magda Maghradze and the Director of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Georgia - Jener Edelman, conducted a summary conference on the technical assistance for the Millennium Challenge project - Professional Education for Economic Development.
During the conference, the sides discussed the scope of work of the technical assistance component, which the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has successfully implemented together with its agencies, based on the 2015-2018 preliminary agreement.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and its agencies (National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement and National Center for Teacher Professional Development) provided technical assistance to the following components:
• Support of public-private partnership policy in vocational education;
• Improving the quality and image of vocational education;
• Supporting the adult learning opportunities.
The main goal of the technical support component of the project Professional Education for Economic Development is to develop vocational education system which is in full compliance with the employment market requirements.
