Georgian students at the Chemistry Olympiad

Owing to the initiative of the Ilia Vekua School of Physics and Mathematics N42 Public School, the Georgian national team participated in the 52nd International Chemistry Olympiad, financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The Olympiad was held in Belarus, where 22 national teams participating to reach the first place. The Olympiad comprised of three rounds, two theoretical and a practical one. Additionally, the bronze medal was awarded to the student of I. Vekua School of Physics and Mathematics Public School N42 – Davit Rizhinashvili. Levan Gojiashvili and a student of Komarov School – Saba Gogichaishvili, displayed the best results in the theoretical round. Tinatin Butkhuzi, mentored the national team of Georgia along with former Olympic players – Saba Tavdgiridze and Aleksandre Pichkhadze, who were also in charge of preparing the team during the whole year.
