The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia in collaboration with Save the Children International Organization - organized a regional conference regarding the development of Inclusive Education Systems. The high level of inclusive education practiced in Georgia over the last few years, has led to the decision of holding such conference in Tbilisi for the first time. The organizers chose Georgia; with a specific reason to learn more about the Georgian experience.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia presented the newly developed Inclusive Education Model, other current projects and the major strategy and priority plans for the development of inclusive education for 2018-2021. The representatives of Eastern European countries introduced their own models of inclusive education to the participants of the conference.
The cooperation with Save the Children - International organization began in 1993 and for 25 years, the organization remains as a successful government and civil society partner, effectively implementing child protection, formal and informal education, social and economic development reforms in Georgia. The aim of the organization is to promote the formation of a society where all children have the right to survival, care, education, health and social inclusion.
