The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli whilst paying an official visit, held a meeting with the Vice-President of the Israel’s Innovation Administration - Dani Biran.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the possibility of conducting joint research projects, which will significantly enhance the existing cooperation between Georgia and Israel.
The Minister emphasized the fact, that science and research projects in Georgia will receive more awareness and recognition in the coming future, Rustaveli National Science Foundation playing a major role in this process. Promoting scientific cooperation between the two countries is vital for the development of a sustainable future, and that is why Georgia and Israel have already taken positive steps.
Furthermore, In order to promote the economic development of the two countries, Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Dani Biran reached an agreement – to imitate a scientific arrangement between the two countries that will enable joint research projects, in conjunction with conducting exchange programs for the scientists. Georgian Innovations and Technologies Agency will be actively involved in this process.
