Next summer camp was opened in Manavi

The "sports-cognitive summer camp" was opened in the village of Manavi. The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia - Mikheil Chkhenkeli attended the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Defense - Nukri Gelashvili and Kakheti region governor - Irakli Kadagishvili. Additionally, Mikheil Chkhenkeli also got acquainted with the activities of teenagers and their living conditions.

Manavi summer camp is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Defense of Georgia. During its eight-batch reception, approximately 1056 students of 12-16 years will spend their holidays here.

Each batch will cover the mandatory weekly cognitive / entertaining program. According to the program, one day will solely be dedicated towards the military education. The military servicemen of the Georgian Armed Forces will inform the students about their work and clarify how to act in certain emergency situations. In addition, the program covers various cognitive and fun topics of different areas of knowledge.

During the summer season, 6 youth camps will be opened throughout Georgia, where more than 10 000 students will spend their holidays, fully funded by the state.
